The Annals of Human Biology
The Annals of Human Biology is a peer-reviewed journal for human population biology, reporting investigations on the nature, development and causes of human variation, embracing the disciplines of human genetics, auxology, environmental physiology, ecology and epidemiology. The Annals was first published in 1974 and now appears six times a year. It publishes original research papers, reviews, short reports, book reviews, letters to the Editors, editorials and Human Biological Surveys. It also publishes the abstracts of presentations from the proffered papers meetings of the SSHB. Throughout its life, the Annals has been published by Taylor & Francis, now an imprint of Informa Healthcare. For more information about the Annals of Human Biology, visit the Annals home page. A free sample copy can be obtained from the website. Online access is also available to members, who must register via the website.
Authors of papers appearing in the Annals can choose to make them 'Open Access' on payment of a fee of $3100 per article at the time of publication. This gives unrestricted online access to the article even for people or institutions that do not subscribe. Authors are encouraged to consider this option and include the costs in grant proposals.
