Registration

The meeting is open to members and non-members.

The registration deadline is 3rd March 2008. For a registration form, please click here.

Last minute registrations: last minute participants can register for the meeting 'on the door'. Please note that there is no 'day rate' and that places for the reception and the dinner are extremely limited. A small amount of accommodation may still be available but we cannot guarantee this.

 

Social events

Tuesday 1st April: Reception sponsored by Informa in the Gallery at Oxford Town Hall

The Gallery is an exciting modern venue about 10 minutes from the main conference venue. All registered delegates are welcome and there is no need to pre-book.

 

Wednesday 2nd April: Conference dinner in the Hall at New College

This three course dinner with wine will be held in the historic Hall at New College. The cost is £35 per person (including drinks). Please specify whether you would like to attend the dinner when you register. Prof. Geoffrey Harrison, one of the founders of the SSHB, will speak after dinner. 

 

Accommodation

Accommodation in New College can be booked when you register. All rooms are en-suite and have internet access (guests are asked to bring their own computer and network cable).

Please note that the conference organisers have not checked these hotels / guest houses / hostels so no guarantees can be given about their standard.

 

Travel

New College is found on Holywell Street, Oxford, OX1 3BN (telephone 01865 279555). A map of Oxford University buildings and colleges can be downloaded from http://www.ox.ac.uk/visitors_friends/maps_and_directions/.

We advise participants to come by public transport if possible. Oxford has good rail connections with London, Birmingham, Bristol and York. There are frequent and fast buses between Oxford, Heathrow Airport and the centre of London. If you drive, please note that there is very limited or no parking at New College and in the city centre. We recommend that you park in the long term Park and Ride.
